Chapter 6: The Retrival Of Troops

As Talyeer jogged through the hallway of the compound, Amber stood at a long range covering him. He rolled into a crevice and motioned for her to come forward. They spotted a lone doorway at the end of the hall.
"That's it all right, that's the prison area." whispered Amber, "They usually have one or two guards watching over the prisoners. Let's go!"
Talyeer and Amber rushed up to either side of the doorway and held their breath. He threw a small pebble from the ground inside the prison.
"Hey Pell, you hear that?" said the first guard.
"Hear what?" said the other guard.
"That noise! Go check it out. It might be the monster."
"Fine..." Grumbled Pell.
Pell walked out the doorway and looked down the corridors.
"Nothing here bro!" he shouted as he turned around.
Lightning fast, Talyeer took a throwing knife and whipped it at Pell's head. It hit with a solid whu-thump and Pell fell to the floor dead. Amber turned around and with a sharp crack! finished off the other brother. Talyeer walked into the prison. It was a tiny corridor with chambers in the walls. A large space for the guards with a small door panel leading to somewhere else. Talyeer walked down the walkway and saw ten people total, with seventeen skeletons. Talyeer blasted the lock on each of the small prisons and the occupants thanked him. When all of the prisoners were assembled at the front room, Talyeer said," OK people, getting in here as one person was one thing, but now, I have to get twelve people out. So I'm going to need help. We only have nine weapons for you all. One person will have to be a scout with only a vibroblade. A small Bothan walked to the front of the tiny crowd. "I was a scout for the Mandalorian Navy. I'll take the dagger." He said. "Perfect! Now we need people to cover our backs and be a vanguard. Murmurs went throughout the crowd. "Oh and if you're worried about the Ackley, I killed it." Cheers went up throughout the crowd and everyone was exuberant! "Shut up! You'll give our position away! Now move!" Whispered Talyeer. The makeshift platoon snuck along to the armoury where they could all reclaim what was rightfully theirs. They reached the armory are with little trouble besides a few sprained ankles from the first drop. Unfortunately, the guards had already arrived...

Chapter 5: The Death of the Ackley

The Ackley fell to the ground dead with a lead slug through it’s brain. A bit of a hard shot there. Talyeer brought up his hand gun and shot the handler. Talyeer grabbed a grenade, put it on a delayed fuse and ran like the Sith were after him. At the two-second mark, Talyeer dove to the ground and curled up into a ball. The explosion seemed to rock the entire compound with its shockwave.
Aw man, it was a seismic grenade, I should have saved that one, thought Talyeer, I suppose that I could take some of this armor and weapons off their hands.
Talyeer grabbed one of his seismic charges and latched it onto the wall. He made a shelter of tables around him and piled the armor and weapons in the makeshift bunker. He pressed the remote detonator and hoped for the best. As the wave went off, ten guards walked in and died that same instant. The pure waves of energy rolled around the compound and anything not held down ricocheted. The shock waves subsided to small tremors and Talyeer final stood up out of his near destroyed shelter. Giant cracks lined the walls and tunnels opened that had been sealed by whomever owned the compound. A surprisingly small tunnel had been opened where the actual charge had been placed. Talyeer noticed that Ashyeer’s armor was in the pile. Ashyeer… what is he doing here? Well I suppose I should get him. He picked up ammo for his Ars and grabbed spare weapons for Ashyeer. Talyeer walked down the hall and heard screams from down the hall and he ran in that direction. He stopped at the corner where he heard the screams coming from. He peaked around the corner and saw a girl about his age, maybe older struggling with two guards trying to stick her with a needle of some kind. Talyeer contemplated helping them restrain her, then thought better of it. She could be useful later on and maybe could help me escape this place. Talyeer threw a rock at one of the guards and struck him in the temple. The girl kicked the other guard in the face, sending him to the ground.
“Thanks friend, I needed that help. So, who are you?”
“I’m Talyeer Talllen, three Ls in the Talllen. I was here to kill the Ackley.”
The girl doubled over laughing, "Ah, that was funny, so why are you really here?”
“What was so funny? I killed it already.”
The girl stopped giggling and stared at him wide eyed.
“You killed it? You!?!?!?! We’ve had famous hunters fall to the Ackley. You didn’t kill it.”
“I did, you want to see the body? It was hard enough to kill, took a point blank slug shot to the head and lived. The second one did the trick though.”
“Lets get out of here, Delkor will be after me with his goons any minute now. Especially with their main communications station hidden around here.”
“Oh, well, I destroyed that as well, and who is Delkor?”
“Delkor is a mad scientist that mutated the Ackley and is practicing biomutation on anyone who trespasses. If they don’t work the way he wants them to, he tortures them. I’ll tell you more later.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know, but I do know I’m glad you covered our escape fairly well.”
“By the way, what is your name?”
“Amber, Amber Ganel.”
“I need to rescue a friend Amber, you want to come?”
“Unless you have a speeder outside I’ll go with you.”
“There, you are out of luck.”
Talyeer handed Amber his slug rifle and unslung his better class assault rifle. They trotted down the hallway to rescue Ashyeer.

Chapter Four: The Labyrinth

Talyeer started with a brief bounce before he ordered would effect a “ tactical retreat”. Running away from the men advancing on him, he noticed after he was running, there were doors set in the rock wall. He decided to open one of the doors and found it was locked, and the one after that, and the one after that one and the next. He decided it was a waste of time before noticing one of the doors was slightly ajar. He slung his sniper and brought out his AR and pushed the door open. The first thing he noticed was he was being pulled on by an invisible force, and it was getting stronger. He gave up fighting and jumped through. Then, he noticed, he was falling. In the air he pulled out his pistol and loaded it. He hit the ground with a metallic “clang!” and gunned down two men with visible weapons. “Who are you,” he demanded, pointing his pistol at a man pulling out a gun. A couple Rodians spat at his request and pulled out vibrodaggers.
“Attack and your friend dies!”
“We don't listen to intruders!” the Rodian sneered.
The Rodians ran at Talyeer and he pulled the trigger. BANG. The man toppled over a hole in his head. Talyeer pulled out a pocket dagger and threw it at the closest Rodian and nailed him. Talyeer let off a salvo in one’s face, causing them to drop to the floor writhing. A blaster bolt pinged off the rock near Talyeer’s head making him hit the floor. Talyeer rolled away and brought up his sights on the man with the gun, and fired. He stood up as the bolts tore through the man and looked around. It seemed he was in a communications station of some kind. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt if I hid some for later and destroyed the rest. Talyeer grabbed the most modern items and stowed them in a corner for later. Now to get out of this place. Talyeer looked around once more for some sort of door. Nothing, lets take a look at these walls. Talyeer walked up to the walls and searched for a seam. After a few minutes of searching, he found a small box-shaped seam. He tried to pry it open, but that failed. He looked around for something and spotted the vibrodaggers. He grabbed them, wedged them in and pulled. He got nowhere with that attempt besides getting two broken vibrodaggers and cut hands. He looked somewhere else and remembered his blasters. He grabbed one of theirs, figuring they would be accustomed to that sound, and fired. The panel shattered and he found a small datapad set into the stone. Argh! I should have…should have what? Oh never mind, um…maybe…Talyeer typed in 35903 and waited. Thirty seconds, nothing. One minute, nothing. Maybe they won’t mind if I hotwire it. Talyeer got out a minifusion cutter and tore open the panel. It’s been a while since I’ve done this………was it green blue red orange or blue green orange red? Oh wait, it was red blue orange green. Talyeer rewired it to red blue orange green and the wall behind him hissed open. He walked toward it and stuck his hand out. It was pulled down-ish. Talyeer jumped over the edge and landed on his feet. He looked around and saw he had entered a giant chamber filled with armor, robes, clothes, and more weapons than he could count. It must be an armory of some kind. Talyeer glanced around and saw three doors. Only two were open. I hate being lead. I’m gunna kill whoever is doing this. He looked around again looking for cameras. Seeing none, he walked around searching for some weapons. Hey look! A high powered slug rifle! Those things are old, still good, but old. Talyeer grabbed the slug rifle and slung it on his back. Whoa, an X-39 sniper scope. I could use one of those. Talyeer yanked his old scope off his B9-x2 sniper and jammed it on the scope rail. Perfect fit. How convenient. Talyeer kept walking and saw multiple suits of Mandalorian armor, Grandfathers armor?! The Ackley killed him too? Talyeer spotted a near new Assault Rifle and grabbed it. Wow, this is a treasure trove of weapons. As Talyeer stood up, the ground shook and the Ackley roared from behind him. Talyeer spun around and fired his both of his assault rifles at the Ackley barreling toward him. The Ackley slowed under the storm of bolts, but did not stop coming toward Talyeer. Talyeer backed up slowly and the hail of bolts stopped. Ah! No ammo in the clip! Slug rifle, yes! Talyeer unslung the slug rifle he had picked up earlier and ran into a corner. The Ackley was infuriated by the constant stinging the bolts caused it. Talyeer took aim with the slug rifle, and fired. The Ackley fell to the floor with a shot through the head. Well I’m glad that’s over. Talyeer walked into one of the open doors and the door slammed shut behind him. What? A trap? How could I have done this? Talyeer clicked on his built-in head lamp and checked out his surroundings. As he looked around, to his growing horror, he saw armored cadavers laying on the floor surrounded in blood and shattered armor. He saw rotting carcasses scattered along the walls, held in place by shards of beskar. The door slowly creaked open behind him. He ran and pretended to dead. He turned on his rearview head cam and saw the Ackley limp in with blue blood streaming down it’s head. Talyeer held in a gasp as the Ackley approached him. It’s apparent handlers came in behind it and one feinted from seeing his pet in it’s current state. The Ackley roared and brought it’s behemoth claw down on Talyeer’s chest plate and shattered it Talyeer brought up his gun and fired.

Chapter 3 To Slay An Acklay
Talyeer rocketed over miles of mountainous terrain up to his parents abode. Tucked away high in the granite crags, the Taibur clan’s hut was hidden from all but the best explorers. Dry, gray dust floated behind him as he skimmed over a small plateau. Setting down next to a solid wall of sandstone, he launched his grappling hook to the top of the cliff. He tugged, securing the grapple against the rim of the ledge. Placing his feet solidly onto the wall, he ascended to a small protruding rock. He passed his through the rock, and input a series of memorized codes. Taking his hand out of the hologram, he climbed through his window into his room. He then accessed his armory via retinal scan, DNA check and fingerprint. The vault opened with a hiss and he compiled the armor he had stripped and put the weapons on a rack. When he counted all of his winnings, he had thirty nine sets of armor that fit him, twenty eight assorted weapons, a number of fuel cells for his jetpack and over one thousand credits in standard Concord Dawn electrum plated. That was a pleasant victory over them. They won't mess with me in the future. Talyeer picked out his best sniper rifle, assault rifle and automatic pistol and grabbed a handful of fuel cells and concussion grenades. Well, I'm ready to go. He flew over the mountains and dropped off near the crash site of the zoo freighter. Well, so far so good... no sign of that acklay, yet. Talyeer advanced toward the entrance of the complex with light feet and quick heart. He entered the mouth of the carved out entrance of the lair and noticed scorch marks on the walls of the compound. Eh, that's odd... He continued into the den and saw dried blood of green, blue, red and orange shades dashed along the wall. He heard short, quick steps with a faint clicking echoing after them. Talyeer darted down the corridor and rolled through a passage way and felt something wrong he hit the ground and rolled to the left side of the corridor as spears intertwined where Talyeer just was. Few, that was close. His breath echoed around him, increasing the sense of danger. Suddenly, he heard a bloodcurdling screach right behind him! He twirled around bringing up his sniper for a one shot kill. The acklay towered over him and his finger hit the firing stud, ripping through the acklays foreward bicep, making him tumble over. Talyeer ignited his jetpack and glimpsed a pair of men running up behind the acklay. Next time, I aim for the head.
Chapter 2 The Hunt Begins
Blaster bolts richoched off rocks where Talyeer took off and went wild. Talyeer returned fire with the WESTAR-M5 he salvaged from the child, and struck two kids square in the chest. They collapsed into crumpled heaps while the others took to the sky. In a maddened race, Talyeer swerved through trees and raced to find a canyon where he could hide. He flew for what seemed hours but in reality it was only a few minutes. He glanced at his fuel meters. No fuel! NO! I've got to get there or I don't know what will happen! The jetpacks of the boys behind him slowed down as one by one they dropped from the sky with no fuel. Suddenly Talyeer dropped to the dusty ground with a thump. Ashyeer and three bodygaurds dropped from the sky next to him.Ashyeer held a stun gun to Talyeer's head and whispered,"Sweet dreams, sucker!" Nanoseconds before Ashyeer pulled the trigger, Talyeer rocketed away on the ground a few meters away and jumped up and sniped all three of the gaurds. Ashyeer rolled away, pulling Talyeer up into his sights and fired. Talyeer dodged the flurry of bolts and fired into the space Ashyeer occupied and hoped for the best. Ashyeer rolled into the attack, head on and took the brunt of the blow with his strong back armor. Talyeer jumped over Ashyeer and grabbed his helmet."No! Please! Anything but that! Don't take my armor! Please please please please please please! Kill me if you want! Just don't take my armor!" Ashyeer pleaded."A life debt and the armor and weapons of all the boys I've killed! Oh and the guards lives. Thats all." Talyeer demanded."Ok ok ok! I owe you a life debt, you can have their stuff and and kill the guards. Just don't take my stuff!" Talyeer walked in front of Ashyeer, and kicked him in the stomach. Ashyeer doubled over in pain, spewing out the last two day's rations. Then he collapsed into unconsiousness."You owe me money for fuel, scum." He then looted Ashyeer of his money, fuel cells and weapons. Then he walked over to the gaurds and looted the guards of money, weapons, ammo, fuel cells and armor. He then shot them each in the head once. Talyeer flew back to the scene of the fight and stripped all of the boys of everything. When all was accomplished, he had twenty six weapons and ammo for all of them, thirty nine sets of armor. That's odd, there were twenty boys when we started... He must have called for reinforcements. Oh well, more for me.

Chapter 1: A New Mandalorian

Talyeer woke up slowly, his head full of memories of the night before. Uj’alayi cake and strong, bitter tihaar filled his head and dances and firelight rallying songs. Taking his time, the protests of his aching back began to cease. Sitting up on his willow grass mat, his ache went away until it was nothing but a dull thrum of pain at the back of his mind. Briskly and in a professional manner, he suited up he recalled what his dad told him last night before he left the ceremony: “This is only the beginning of what you have to do; tomorrow you must face your greatest fear. We both know what that is…” he trailed off. He suited up and but left his weapons behind. I’m only going to the mess hall, he thought, I won’t need them. Unfortunately, he was wrong. He crawled out his window and freefall jumped. Feet above the ground, he activated his jetpack and zoomed over the dense foliage and pondered what was to come in the following hours. As he rocketed down to the Taiban clan’s mess hall, exhaust streaming behind him, he was intercepted by a rival gang of adolescents from his tribe. Not again…He thought silently.
“Well, well, well! Who do we have here?” The obvious ringleader said.
“Oh, go away Ashyeer. I have more important things to do than bicker with you children.” Tayleer said vehemently.
“Such disrespect! Boys I think we should teach this child a lesson!” Ashyeer spat.
The boys surrounding Talyeer took out an assortment of weapons, ranging from old DC-15s, to WESTAR-M5s to DH-15 carbines and many others. Twenty armed kids slowly advanced on Talyeer as his mind was racing. The kid behind me was put there for a reason, if I can do this they don’t stand a chance. And I’ll get some more armor too. Talyeer back-flipped over the child behind him and disabled him with two jabs of his fingers. The kid dropped like a stone and his weapon fell from his hands, right into Talyeer’s! The other adolescents, surprised from the move, started to fire on Talyeer. Luckly, he had taken to the sky before their fingers hit the firing studs.TO BE

Prologue

Talyeer is a twelve year old Mandalorian Human living on Concord Dawn and his initiation ceremony is drawing closer as he comes of age at thirteen. With the initial festivities over with, he must now prepare to slay the most fearsome creature on Concord Dawn – the Mutant Acklay! The Acklay is a result of a side effect from a zoo freighter that crashed into a radiation plant. The crash killed the pilots and most of the ground crew of the plant. The Acklay fed off the radiation of the crash site and the dying animals. It resided in the plant’s cramped corridors and tunnels leading out of the compound.
